Frances McCall, 91, of El Dorado, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014, at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home.

Frances was born July 5, 1923, in Village, to the late Garland George and Margaret (Beene) Gunnels. She was a homemaker and a longtime faithful and active member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. She was an avid bridge player and achieved a bridge lifetime master award and enjoyed traveling the world. Frances was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Paul McCall; second husband, Delbert Wagnon; and sister, Julie Anne Smith.

Frances is survived by her son, James Paul McCall Jr. and his wife, Lynda, of Mount Holly; brother, Jackie Gunnels and his wife, Ruth, of Village; grandsons, Jim and his wife, Jackie, and their sons, Jimmy and Jason of McGhee and Sean McCall and his wife, Tammy, and their daughter, Megan of Mount Holly; granddaughters, Kate Eckert and her sons, Christian and Jacob of Westminster, MD., Maggie Surbrook and her husband, Danny, and their sons, Logan, Jack, Keith and Maddox of Glenelg, MD., Colleen Kennedy and her son, Lewis Thomas, of Winter Haven, FL., Carey Herold and her husband, Henry, and her daughters, Kaitlyn and Lauren Pope of Fayetteville.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Mount Holly Cemetery with the Rev. Winston Roden officiating and under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Kuhn, Josh Loe, Ricky Loe, Ben Ray, Danny Surbrook and Lewis Thomas.
