 | Marzelle Dendy, 92 of Rockford, Illinois, formerly of El Dorado passed away February 19, 2008 at P.A. Peterson Nursing Home in Rockford.
Marzelle was born July 16, 1915 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Fred and Judy Reynolds. She grew up in the community of Parkers Chapel and graduated from Parkers Chapel High School, later attending bookkeeping and business school in El Dorado. Marzelle married Dwight Arnold Dendy May 14, 1938, and was a loving wife and homemaker till his death in 1990. In April of 2003 she moved to Rockford, Illinois to live near her son. Marzelle was a long standing member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and the Sunshine Bible Class.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Dwight Arnold Dendy; brother Lavelle; sisters, Lamar, Lamae and a nephew, James.
Survivors include her son Dwight Edward Dendy and wife Linda of Caledonia, Illinois; grandsons, Edward and wife Anita, Brian, and Kevin; great-grandaughter, Sophia; great-grandson, Axel; nieces Maxine, Dewanda, Ann, Diane, and nephew, Larry.
Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Saturday, March 8, 2008 in Young's Chapel with Rev. Steve Wiseman officiating and under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. A private family burial will follow. |
