It is good to know the homecoming date for sure. I had talked again to the EHS Athletic Director, Phillip, on Monday, and he thought the homecoming date would be either Friday, October 14, 2011 with McClelland or Friday, October 21, 2011 with Lake Hamilton. After receiving this email today, I called and talked to the EHS Head Football Coach, Scott Reed, and he confirmed that the homecoming date will be October 14, 2011. He said that John Ralston had been by yesterday—good for John-he may have stimulated Coach Reed to go ahead and commit to a date.
I agree that it is time to start moving forward with our plans. We have been preparing for the date of October 14, 2011, and have reserved since June, 2010 both the Arts Center for Friday night October 14 and the El Dorado Golf and Country Club for Saturday night October 15, 2010. I will call today and confirm these reservations. I appreciate John’s thoughts about the new Conference Center, and have discussed it some with him. When we had our mini-reunion in El Dorado on September 25, 2010, the fairly large group in attendance seemed to be very much in agreement with the Arts Center and the Country Club. I have the sign-up sheets from the meeting of those willing to serve on committees, and am now starting the organizational process. Some who did not sign up have since expressed their willingness to help. This will be a really fun event and every person is urged to participate. All ideas are welcome.
