RALSTON / KLBQ Honorary Scholarship

The John G. Ralston/KLBQ Wildcat Scholarship Fund of the Union County Community Foundation was recently created by radio station KLBQ to provide financial assistance for higher education to EHS students who have participated in the Wildcat football program. John, a veteran of the radio and television broadcasting industry, broadcast his first play-by-play of an El Dorado High School football game on September 4, 1966. He has broadcast EHS football games on KLBQ for the past 11 years. The Ralston Scholarship application will be available in March of each year through the EHS guidance office. In addition to a minimum three years' participation in the Wildcat football program, criteria for the scholarship include academic merit and financial need.
Individuals interested in contributing to the fund may send donations designated for the Ralston Fund to UCCF, PO Box 148, El Dorado, AR 71730. All donations will be acknowledged and are fully tax deductible.
