1 December 1998 - Added "Links" button to home page. Created Links page and moved all links to new page from home page. Added "Chinfo" button to Links page. It links to Chinfo's News Products Index page - Navy & Marine Corps News of interest to active duty, retiree and one hitch personnel.

30 November 1998 - Added Links to USS Sterett and USS Biddle from home page.

Sterett Association's efforts to "Save Sterett" make interesting reading, particularly the problems they are encountering. Also, the list of "Sterett Firsts" is pretty impressive. I am not sure, but I think that some of the firsts stretch the truth a little. - Gunner

27 November 1998 - Moved to new domain WWW.CG-32.COM and revised all primary pages accessable from home page, changed background of all remaining pages to pale blue. Deleted "WHS Links" because links are now included in "Crew Contact List". Added link to Dave Laney's AUX WHS Website from homepage button.

30 October 1998 - Changed Complete Guest Book to "Crew Contact List". Crew Contact List is sorted by the year reported aboard so that Steamers can easily find crew members that were aboard at same time.

25 October 1998 - Added Photos to Complete Guest Book. Photos taken at Get Together hosted by Vic Martin in Lake Buchannan Dam, TX, on 16, 17 & 18 October. Al Blanks and Gunner Mitchell met John Strawn for lunch on 15 Oct. in Elgin, TX. A current photo of John was added also. Added photos of WHS in Mothballs courtesy of Chris Raker.

Creating the web page and uploading the pictures of WHS in mothballs has depressed me. When she was decommissioned it was a dark day indeed .

This article from the San Diego Union provides some insight into the man behind the legend. Sorry about the 3rd photo in the series - the quality isn't all that great.

25 September 1998 - Added center photo to home page top line. Photo from cover of "WEST-PAC 1989" cruise book cover. Which, incidentally, is the best cruise book that I have ever seen. BZ to the staff. Changed AFV Flag Hoist graphic to photo of actual pin in AFV Flag Hoist accessed from Sea Story Index.

Today marks 3 months that I have dedicated full time to this website. Original plans were to spend 2-3 months on this effort. Well, I am out of time. I must drop the website in my personal priority list. In the future, I will be performing my duties as webmaster on a part time, hobby basis. Hopefully, this will not excessively delay uploading material that Steamers submit for our website.

Al Blanks pointed out that he doubts that USSR had a Krivak Class Destroyer and a Krivak Class Cruiser. See 'Black Sea Story - 1977' and 'Krivak Class Cruiser Incident - 1981'.

Wayne Thomas reports - I'm sitting here with a book titled "Warships of the World" and there is neither a cruiser, or a destroyer class called Krivak, however, it is listed under Frigates and Corvettes. Here are the characteristics:

Year 1970, Length 401.8 ft, Beam 45 ft, Draft 15.4 ft, Displacement 3800 tons, 4 gas turbine engines with 72000 HP, 4 3" guns, 6 missile launchers, and a crew compliment of 220.
