Frances Larzelere, 99, of El Dorado, died on Sunday, April 17, 2011, at her home. Born on April 4, 1912, in El Dorado, she was the daughter of Henry Crawford and Sula Pinson McKinney. Mrs. Larzelere graduated from Chevy Chase Preparatory School in Washington, D.C., Hendrix College in Conway and attended the Julliard School of Music in New York. In the past, she served on the board of the United Way, The Community Concerts Association and the Union County Juvenile Court. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Spade and Trowel Garden Club, the Quest Club and the Service League.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Tripler Larzelere. Survivors include a son, Henry Tripler Larzelere Jr.; two grandsons, Henry Tripler Larzelere III (Sarah) and Thomas Alexander Larzelere; and two great- grandchildren, Charlotte and H.T. Larzelere IV.

Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Polk officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to First Methodist Church, 201 S. Hill, El Dorado, AR 71730; Arkansas Children’s Hospital, 1 Children’s Way, Little Rock, AR 72202-3591; or the Arkansas Rice Depot, 3801 W. 65 th St., Little Rock, AR 72209 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
