Lemuel Harriss Kerr, III, of El Dorado passed away November 25, 2010 at Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado.

Mr. Kerr was born July 5, 1942 in El Dorado. His parents were Marian Timmins Kerr and L.H. Kerr, Jr. He graduated from El Dorado High School in 1960. He then attended the University of Arkansas where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law.

Mr. Kerr practiced law in Duncanville, Texas for a number of years before returning to El Dorado for the remainder of his life. He owned and operated Kerr Safe and Lock for many years.

Mr. Kerr is survived by his two children; Kristie Hurst and Scott Kerr, both of Dallas, Texas. In addition, he is survived by his sister Nancy Jane Woolley of Nantucket, Massachusetts; his brother Mike Kerr of El Dorado; as well as three grandchildren.

At his request, there will be no formal service. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Young’s Funeral Directors.
