Gerald never once complained about his situation and was very brave. He didn't want to die, of course. His doctors* (all listed in this month's issue of "D Magazine" as Dallas' best) believed he was doing well but we got a terrible surprise. The new heart was not being rejected, but it appears that a blood clot destroyed it.
We enjoyed visiting with you and Kaye on your trips to El Dorado. I hope things are going well for both of you.
