Julia Hinson Mann, 90, died Feb. 3, 2007, in Cabot after a long illness.
She was born on July 19, 1916, in El Dorado, and was the daughter of the late J.D. Hinson and Virginia Combs Hinson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Ralph Sidney Mann.
She was a graduate of South Arkansas University, Magnolia; a retired teacher in the El Dorado schools; a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she served many years as pianist for the Frances Asbury Sunday School Class and a former member of the Motet Choir; and a long time member of the South Arkansas Symphony as a violinist. She may be remembered most fondly for her years as a public school music teacher at Yocum Elementary School.
She is survived by her sons, Dr. Ralph Jerry Mann of Cabot and his wife, Debbie, and Richard Sidney Mann of Little Rock and his wife, Betty Gene; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until noon today at Young’s Funeral Home followed by a graveside service in Arlington Memorial Park at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. W. R. Scurlock, John Lusk, D.R. James, Bob Nolan, and members of the Frances Asbury Sunday School Class.
Memorials may be made to the Ralph S. Mann Fellowship of the Sent, First United Methodist Church, 201 S. Hill, El Dorado, AR 71730.
