Key thought:EL DORADO WEEKEND -- OCT 20-21 ' 07

Comments:
We had a wonderful time at Kozy Kitchen. There is a new, large room in back and we had a comfortable, fun evening -- and the spouses seemed to tolerate our frivolity pretty well, too. Each classmate stood and brought us up to date with lots of humor (especially about the aches and pains of aging). It was suggested that perhaps for our 50th we should have a Halloween party wearing masks & name tags -- depending on how many wrinkles we want to hide by then.

We also took time to participate in a video of well wishes for Deloris ("Scooter") Burson Girard who remains in treatment at M.D.Anderson in Houston. Many thanks to John Ralston for arranging to have the video made by an El Dorado advertising professional, Ed Magee.

After dinner some of us went to Louise Long Johnson's home/shop in the old Gathright's on Jackson St. across from the Presbyterian church. She lives upstairs and has a collectibles/antique shop downstairs. She had all the old EHS yearbooks out and we had fun pointing out how young we were then.

Those who didn't have to rush back out of town on Sunday morning met for a LONG breakfast/brunch at Ryan's. It wasn't crowded before lunch, so we enjoyed lots of leisurely conversation -- and look forward to repeat gatherings.
