Comments:
We are still living in Southern California - enjoying the weather and the lifestyle. I stay busy with a little business - as a relocation consultant. Along with of group of friends, I stay active with walking/running and doing half marathons in fun places. We did Phoenix, San Francisco and New York last year. The marathon ends up being a 3 hour excuse/payment for having a good time. My parents celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in the summer of 2006. My father passed in March of this year. Between the anniversary, moving them to a new home and my father's illness, I became familiar with El Dorado once again.

Biography:
After graduating college, I taught high school at Pine Bluff High School and Central High School in Little Rock. A part time job to supplement my teaching income led to a corporate management career in retail. I lived in the Chicago suburbs for 20+ years and was transferred to Southern California as VP Operations in 1997. Retiring from that position in 2002, my husband and I continue to live in Orange County, California. My husband has a daughter from a previous marriage, but my children have been "the 4-legged variety" - something that would not surprise many of my high school friends. Currently, I "attempt" to stay mentally competent and alert with a couple part time jobs. As a relocation consultant, I assist transferres and their families settle into life in Southern California. In the fall, I "dust off" my management skills by supervising flu shot clinics in California and other states as needed. Socially, our many years in the business world created a network of friends that we continue to enjoy, many living in different areas of the U.S. Additonally, after retiring, I developed friendships with a group of women with which I enjoy several trips each year. Our trips are usually organized around a half marathon - the marathon mostly a "convenient" excuse. Because we live in "vacationland" - 20 minutes to several beach communities, my husband and I don't travel a lot. We enjoy our home, our neighbors, get-togethers with friends, year-round outside dining etc. Life is good and mostly uneventful.
