Comments:
June 6, 1943 - April 4, 2023 Sharon was raised in El Dorado, AR, graduated high school in 1961, and attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She worked as a secretary and later as a legal assistant and enjoyed meeting and chatting with interesting people. She loved to play the piano and was quite good at it. Sharon also loved her family, decorating her home and looking after the neighborhood cats. Spouses: Charles Alex Artzt, Jr. m. 1964 - div. 1973 Al S. Morley m. 1984 - div. 1989 Wm. Gerald Bernard m. 2001 - 2006 (his death) Children: One daughter, Carol Ann (Artzt) Bassinger b.1966 Her daughter Carol Annn wrote 04/04/23: My mother passed at around 6:45 this morning. My husband and I were with her. Thank you all for your support and prayers. As far as arrangements, she had requested cremation. I’m told not to plan anything until I know when her ashes will be returned to me which could be five to 10 days. I will most likely take them to El Dorado and spread them near my grandparents. We have family there. I will let you all know what we decide about a memorial service/celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, we request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Carol Ann

Biography:
Let's fast forward to the present and beyond, shall we, and eliminate the risk of boring you with TMI. Still enjoying living in the D/FW Metroplex just 15-20 minutes from my daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. Also, there are about a dozen EHS "girls" in the area and we try to keep in touch -- however, retirement is surprisingly busy and actually makes scheduling difficult. If of interest, a typical day in my life consists of (in no particular order) driving, exercising, piano, reading, family, the arts, incoming/outgoing email, etc., etc. (another way of saying "things 'n stuff" that come up -- such as looking for my car keys and/or cell phone). Please know also how much I have enjoyed seeing many of you annually at our mini-reunion dinners. Class of '61 is so special and I always look forward to the times we can spend together. Best wishes to all.
