Comments:
03/13/08 We are still splitting our time between Puerto Rico and Arkansas. We really like our lake house in Hot Springs. That's also where the grand kid(s) are. We are in El Dorado frequently to take care of the place on Rushwood Road. It's so good to read about everyone. I really appreciate those that take the time to write about what's going on in their lives. I'm looking forward to 50. We usually are in the Arkansas for the summers so contact me if there is something I can do to help. Maybe I could help with the web site. I'm about a 6/7 out of 10 with computer skills and usually have a high-speed connection. Take care and good luck to all. 10/23/07 Sorry we missed the 20th ---- we're still splitting our between Puerto Rica and Arkansas. When it gets frosty we head south. Looking forward to the 50th. This is a great web site!!!! We have retained our home in Puerto Rico P. O. Box 911, Ceiba, Puerto Rico

Biography:
It's hard to think about 50 years in a few paragaphs!.....but here goes: I attended John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas the first year after high school. The year was largely unsuccessful except that there I met Mary Ann Sisco. She has been Mary Ann Rush for almost 48 years. She's the very best thing that EVER happened in my life, although I did not realize it at the time. The summer after that year I joined the Navy and spent almost 5 years in the service. During that time Mary Ann and I were married. After the Navy I went back to college in Oklahoma and Kansas. I finished my Bachelors and Masters degrees at the same time and was graduated in the spring of 1971. In 1971 we started looking for teaching positions in the same location and located two jobs in schools run by the US Navy in Puerto Rico. Before 1977, while teaching in Puerto Rico we had two children. Joel was born in 1974 and Leah was born in 1976. We returned to Arkansas in 1977 and both worked on doctoral degrees at U of A in Fayetteville. We then taught one year in El Dorado schools but returned to Puerto Rico in 1979. We worked there until we retired in 2003. We currently have a house on Lake Catherine in Hot Springs, Arkansas where we generally live in the summer. Winter time usually finds us at our house in Puerto Rico. Winter is defined as anytime the temperature is below 50 degrees. During our time in Puerto Rico we developed a love of sailing and have owned serveral sailboats. We like to go on cruises, travel generally, garden at both houses, remodel whichever house we are living in, read, play with our grandchildren, visit with our children and other relatives and generally enjoy our life together. Our son, Joel, owns a business in Hot Springs, with his partner. They provide data services and instructional support to about 140 school districts in Arkansas and one district in Lousiana. Joel, his wife Ali and our two grandsons live in Hot Springs. Leah lives with her husband in Chicago. She works with non profit organizations that are, in a non-partisian way, promoting democracy and people's involvement in government. She and her huband also own a media company that makes video for companies to use on TV and the web. I have already mentioned that we will be in Puerto Rico during the reunion. A whole list of life's events causes us to need to go there early in September this year. I hope you all have a great time. It really has been 50 years, hasn't it!!!!!!!!
