Since I didn't graduate with the class I have never attended. I got my GED in 1966. I do however, enjoy seeing people from the class and keeping up with what is going on.
Biography:
After getting married in Nov. 1960, I quit school and got my GED in 1966. By then I had two children. Linda was born in Dec. 1961. Ray in Dec.1963. Through the years I worked as a bookkeeper for Escobas Cleaners, and accounting clerk at Worsham Wholesale. After I had back surgery and healed, I had the opportunity to work as PMR in Lawson. I was robbed at gun point, worked another year, decided this wasn't something I wanted to do any longer, so I quit. In 1972 my husband lost his job when Jones Truck Lines went out of business. He drove over the road until his retirement in 2008. I really enjoyed the first several years when I could ride with him. We went to almost every state in the union. Sight seeing is lots of fun when you can just sit back and enjoy. No driving, just seeing all the sights. In 2000 that ended when Daddy had heart problems and I had to begin caring for him and my step mother. He died in 2005, she in 2007. Retirement is okay. But I do miss the road.
