07/02/09 I retired from Amtrak on April 1, 2005. My wife's sister/brother-in-law encouraged us to visit them here in NC as they knew we didn't want to remain in CA after retirement. We spent a week here, found a house, went back and sold ours moved here in Oct '05. We're in Western NC, 25 miles south of Asheville, and we are enjoying our retirement living in this beautiful part of the world. Many thanks to Mike Rogers and all of you who keep up with rest of us put together a great website. Hope to see you in 2011!!!
