Biography:
After graduating from High School, I continued working at the Holiday Inn as telephone operator or switchboard clerk. I met the love of my life in June 1963. A boy from Louisiana and just out of the Marines. We dated for two months and got married August 11, 1963. One month later he went to work at Lion Oil Refinery. Our first baby was Sept 13, 1964; a little girl was followed in January of 1967 but not least a little boy on May 10, 1973. After 13 ½ years of marriage, it ended in a divorce in which I will never get over. I was in partnership with my parents in a baby nursery for a year. Then I was very fortunate to get a job at First Financial Bank. I worked as a teller for 18 years, then changing to Federal Adjustments finally as a Customer Service Manger. I retired after 32 years of service to the Bank, March 31, 2010. My daddy died June 23, 2009. He was a milkman in the 50’s & 60’s at Dixie Pride. A lot of classmates were his customers. I travel to Missouri a lot to be with my mother, Louisiana to be with daughter and am blessed to have both of my sons and their families here in El Dorado. I am enjoying going and not being on a regular schedule even sleeping late sometimes. My prayer is God will hold each one of my classmates in his hand, protect them and bless them always. Love to all, your classmate. Jane Fife Spencer
