Funeral services for Herschel Nelson Patterson, Jr., 21, of 803 Marrable Hill Road in El Dorado, AR. who was killed in an auto accident Friday night, will be held at  2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam Shepperson officiating.

Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Young’s of El Dorado, AR.

Pallbearers will be J.R. Post, Henry Ferguson, John Roe Dempsey, Kenneth Smith, Stan Gillis, David Patterson and John Paul Nolan.

Patterson, who was 21 Friday is survived by his parents, Herschel and Marjorie Frizzell Patterson of El Dorado; his paternal grandfather, Walter Patterson of El Dorado; his material grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Frizzell of El Dorado; and an aunt, Mrs. Myrtis Allison of Tyler, TX.

Young Patterson was an oil field worker being employed by Howard Pattings Co. He was born August 14, 1943 in El Dorado.

The man was dead on arrival at a local hospital early Friday night after his pickup truck left the Industrial Road heading south and overturned in a deep ditch.
