February 24, 1944 - June 26, 2022 We are at peace in sharing that Genevieve Abdella Fouse went home to be with the Lord and the love of her life, James Fouse. Genevieve passed away on Sunday, June 26th at the age of 78. She was survived by her siblings Paul Abdella, Lawrence Abdella (Lucy), Josephine Turner (Bill), a step-son, nieces and nephews. Genevieve's love of math, especially trigonometry and algebra, lead her to her life's calling of teaching. That is the place where she shined. The majority of her 41-year career was spent in the El Dorado school district teaching and serving as a principal. Earlier in her teaching career, she had two short teaching stints in Dallas, TX and Tulsa, OK. In retirement, she taught college algebra part-time at South Arkansas Community College. Genevieve's former students and parents of those students readily share stories of her when her name is mentioned. Her legacy will live on with the students she taught. Her passion was spending time with her husband. The two were inseparable in life and work. Genevieve was a voracious reader and loved the challenge of New York Times Crossword puzzles. We ask you to join us in celebrating her life on Thursday, June 30th, at 3 pm in Woodlawn Cemetery for the graveside service. Condolences may be shared at www.youngsfuneralhome.com.
