Sandra Faye Edmonds Downey, 69, of El Dorado, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House.

She was born Feb. 7, 1944, to W.V. and Hazel Renfro Edmonds in El Dorado. She was retired from nursing and had worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital and was of the Methodist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Todd Downey; and her life partner, Sandra DuRan.

Survivors include her daughter, Nicole Hackler and Sean Tappy; two grandchildren, Casey Hackler and Hunter Bates, and Brandon Cheatham and Hanna Owen, all of El Dorado.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation services were provided by Young’s Funeral Directors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to U.C.A.P.S, 1000 Sunset Road, El Dorado, AR 71730; or Life Touch Hospice, 2301 Champagnolle Road, El Dorado, AR 71730.
