Comments:
Married 49 yrs. Enjoy Bible study, mentor younger women, and plan special activities with grandchildren. Beside my Bible, if I could only have one book, it would be "Morning by Morning" by Charles Spurgeon and favorite CD "In Christ Alone" by the Getty's. Feel blessed I grew up in small town of El Dorado when life was safe, unhurried and we did not need electronics to have fun.

Biography:
After graduation I attended Southern State College for a year and then married Mike Rogers on his first leave home from the Air Force in 1962. We lived in Okla. City for eight years and adopted our daughter and son while living there. Then we moved back to AR living briefly in Crossett before moving to Little Rock. I was a stay-at-home mom, very active in church and all that goes with raising children. Best career ever! Then we had a surprise, a baby after 16 yrs of marriage–another daughter. I started working a half day part time job at a Christian ministry, FamilyLife, when she began school. My creative outlets were crafts of all kinds and sewing for the oldest daughter including her formals. Eventually I was making formals for the youngest daughter. I went to full time work with FamilyLife when this daughter went off to college in 1997. I loved being a homemaker and cried when I had to go full time. But God was in it because Mike became disabled due to strokes the next year and could no longer work. Later we downsized to a smaller home after being in the same house for 30 yrs. Our only son died at age 33 in 2003 and we cared for him with Hospice assistance for those last 2 ½ months. It helped that we had moved to a one level home. Again God’s timing is always perfect. Our nest is empty and I work part time again. Our daughters’ families including 4 wonderful grandchildren ages 15 yrs – 2 yrs live in Little Rock, so we truly are blessed. In my spare time I do crafts with the grandchildren, mentor young women and do Bible studies. My life is blessed. Beside my Bible, if I could only have one book, it would be Morning by Morning by Charles Spurgeon and favorite CD "In Christ Alone" by the Getty's. I am thankful I grew up in small town of El Dorado when life was safe, unhurried and we did not need electronics to have fun.
