May 12, 1942 - January 29, 2024 Bobbie Joe Hay, 81, of Parkers Chapel passed away Monday, January 29, 2024 at his home. Bobbie was born May 12, 1942 in El Dorado, AR to the union of Joel Hay and Esther Jackson Hay. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Annette Hay McMahan. Bobbie was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where he served on the Buildings and Grounds Committee, and was a member of the El Dorado Masonic Lodge #13 F. & A.M., and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired boiler maker and a member of the Local Union #67 of Little Rock, AR. Bobbie enjoyed hunting and camping but he mainly enjoyed the fellowship and time spent with his family. Survivors include his wife, Diane Templeton Hay, two sons, Larry Hay and wife Cindy, Tony Hay and wife Becky, five grandsons, Brandon Hay and wife Mary Elizabeth, Nathan Hay and wife Logan, Noah Hay, Ryan Hay, and Sam Hay, one great grandson, John Lawrence Hay, one sister, Lynda Sue Banks, one brother, Johnny Ray Hay and wife Carolyn. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Immanuel Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February, 3, 2024 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Clark Whitney officiating. Interment will be in the Burns Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Biography:
Worked at Boilermaker trade until Uncle Sam wanted my services, joined US Air Force 12/10 1963. Married Patricia Diane Aug .14, 1964 Discharged Dec 9,1967. Returned to the Boilermaker Trade. Retired from the Boilermaker Construction Trade 4/2003 after 36 years. Still like to hook up to RV and travel, visit sons and family in Cedar Hill, TN - Demopolis, AL. Enjoying life, hunting & fishing.
