Biography:
I graduated from Centenary College in 1965, moved to Houston and began working for Humble Oil and Refining (now called Exxon Mobil). After 4 1/2 years I moved to London, England for 18 months. I worked there and traveled a lot in Europe and Britain. I returned to Houston in 1971 and went to work for Great Southern Life Insurance Company and eventually became Vice President of Group Underwriting and Administration. In 1987, I married Rod Ramsey, a geologist from Wyoming. After I left Great Southern, I worked several places on a temporary or part-time basis as I wanted to be free to travel and spend more time with family. I retired completely in 2008. Now I spend my time with volunteering, playing bridge, reading more than I did, church activities, a dinner/poker group of friends and traveling. We just returned from a wonderful cruise on the Rhine and Mosel rivers.
