May 29, 1943 - December 8, 2017 John G. Saulsbury, 74, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 at Cornerstone Critical Care Specialty Hospital at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock Arkansas. John was born May 29, 1943 in El Dorado, Arkansas; he was the son of J.C. and Leatha Jerry Saulsbury. John attended University of Arkansas Monticello; worked a four state area as a power transmission specialist for 40 years. He was owner/operator of Saulsbury Oil Company and Electro Motion Supply. He was an ordained deacon by Dr. Glenn Morgan of East Main Baptist Church. John was an avid fisherman with a beautiful bass boat and jon boat. He enjoyed motorcycling on his Harley Davidson, and enjoyed traveling on cruises. He loved spending time with his family members, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a Godly man and raised by Godly parents and honest in his business dealings and personal life. He was as a member of Faith Southern Methodist Church. John was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Preston Saulsbury, two sisters, Lorene Walton and Mary Sayers and a brother-in-law, Jim Pierce. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Beverly Sawyer Saulsbury; two sons, Chris Saulsbury (Susan) and Marcus Saulsbury(Mandy); four grandchildren, Garrett Saulsbury (Sarah), Genny Henson, Morgan Saulsbury Nash (Chance), Madison Saulsbury (Courtney Brewer); six great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and William Henson, Eli and Jaxson Saulsbury, Emersyn and Thatcher Nash. Two sisters, Sandra Harcourt (Doug) of Weatherford, TX and Hauteen Pierce of Hot Springs Villlage, AR and many nieces and nephew who he loved very much. Visitation will be held 6:00 – 800 P.M. Monday, December 11, 2017 at Young's. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Young's Chapel with Dr. Dan Hall and Brother Tommy Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. Serving as Pallbearers are Kelly Harrell, Doug Alexander, Gene Sewell, Dodson Nale, Lynn Walker and Bobby Baker. I was able to travel, meet and work with many talented people. I also have enjoyed a 50 years career of being married to Beverly A. Sawyer Saulsbury.
