Biography:

After graduating from El Dorado High School, class of 1961, I met and married Robert Hendren of Tulsa, OK in 1965. In 1967 we moved to Texas City, Texas when my husband was offered a job there.

In the ensuing years I was fortunate enough to occupy myself as a homemaker, full time mom, and now a grandmother. My passions have always been my children and my horses. Over the years I’ve made a recreational career of horsemanship and have raised many award winners, some world-class taking top honors at the Palomino World Show in Tulsa. My daughters, and I by proxy, have been heavily involved in dance, cheer, FFA, music and many other pursuits.

Bob and I have been married for 46 years now and have three beautiful daughters (Susan realized her childhood dream and was a cheerleader in the NFL for the Houston Oilers, Julie manages several airports in Louisiana, Texas, and Alaska, and Mandi raises & shows world-class horses), two amazing sons-in-law, and two wonderful granddaughters.

All of my children are college graduates and have gone on to pursue successful careers and families of their own. I still care for a magnificent stable of horses and spend my time sewing custom clothing for my granddaughters, attending various tournaments and competitions, and caring for my family.

I couldn’t be happier, and if I could go back I wouldn’t change a thing!
