August 15, 1941 - August 21, 2024 Blumer Lenoir Hanry Jr, 83, of Hackett, AR, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024 in a Fort Smith hospital in hospice care after a long illness. Lenoir was born August 15, 1941 to Blumer & Janette Hanry. He graduated from El Dorado High School, Class of 1961. On July 3, 1961, he joined the United States Airforce & served his Country for 4 years as a Refueling Unit Operator at Offutt Airforce Base in Omaha, Nebraska. He was a retired truck driver & a member of the Greenwood Church of Christ. Lenoir was preceded in death by his parents, Blumer Lenoir Hanry Sr & Evelyn Janette Humphries Hanry; his grandparents, Aurelius Clark Hanry & Oma Gertrude Hayes Hanry, Robert Abner Humphries & Marth Susan Alabama Webb Humphries. Lenoir is survived by his loving wife of 61 & 1/2 years, Shirley; daughter Melissa Woodruff & husband Jim of Greenwood, Ar; daughter Tura Bailey & husband James of Hackett, AR; son Bryan Lenoir Hanry of Fort Smith Ar; daughter Amanda Hanry & husband Raul Salazar of Houston, Tx; one sister Oma Sue Harter & husband Keith of El Dorado, Ar; nine grandchildren, Jeremy Teague & wife Cindy of Roanoke VA, Brandon Bailey & wife Haley of Hackett, AR; Tyler Teague & wife Brandie of Greenwood, AR; Brett Bailey & wife Kelli of Hackett, AR; Whitney Balm & husband Tony of Greenwood AR; Kaitlyn Tobey & husband Dustin of Hackett, AR; Madison Ruple & husband Zach of Hackett, AR; Trace Woodruff of Greenwood, AR & Chase Woodfuff & fiancee Isabella of Greenwood, AR & eleven great grandchildren, Channing Bailey, Emerie Bailey, Tuck Bailey, Lachlan Bailey, Claire Tobey, Sawyer Bailey, Drake Tobey, Lily Bailey, Navy Ruple, Nolan Bailey & Henry Ruple. Funeral services will be 10am Monday, August 26th at the Greenwood Church of Christ by Minister Ray White with interment at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home. Viewing will be Sunday, August 25th from 1-7pm at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 3-5pm.
