11/01/07 - I have been teaching for 37 years. I have taught high school for 10 years and the rest has been on the kindergarten level. I obtained my B S degree from Harding Univ and post-graduate certification in early childhood education from Athens State Univ. I was the Alabama Republican Teacher of year several years ago (2004 - 5). I have enjoyed my career but most importantly I enjoy my family. My grandsons Brayden-10 yrs - Blaine 7yrs & Bryson 8 mo fill mine and Bob lives with joy. Bob is head of the science dept at Madison Academy and teaches biology classes - Has taught chemistry classes. Our daughter is a 1st grade teacher at MA and has her Masters & National Board Certification. Stephen is in the pool business. 06/30/08 - Don't get back to El Dorado much. Dad died ten years ago and I have Mom here in Huntsville with me. She is age 94 now. My only sister lives in St. Louis and my in-laws are from Tennessee. I have taught now for 37 years. I started in the high school area and have been in the lower elementary area for over 27 years. My husband is head of the science department at Madison Academy. Our son is in the pool business and our daughter teaches 1st grade at the Academy, too. The grandchildren are age 10, 7 and 16 months old and all boys. We stay very busy with work, church and family activities.

Biography:
Attended Harding University - BS in Vocational Home Economics with minor in General Science. Graduate work VA @ Conway, AR. Post-graduate certification – Early Childhood Education Athens State University, AL Taught high school – 10 years – Home Economics Biology. Taught Kindergarten/Pre -1st grade the last 30 years. Beginning 41st year teaching Pre-1st grade, a grade between Kindergarten and first grade for all those children that have later birthdays. Teach at Madison Academy (a private Christian School that is college prep) been here since 1970. Married Robert C Trammell III of Lawrenceburg, TN, (Bob is the the science chair at Madison Academy and Biology/Human Pys Teacher). Have two children – Stephen 35 and Aimee 33. Stephen is in the pool business and has 3 children- Brayden – 13 will be 14 in Dec, Blaine – 11 yr and Bryson – 4 ½. Aimee is a first grade teacher at Madison Academy – BS from Lipscomb University MS from UNA and has her National Board Certification. Aimee travels in the summer with People to People. She has travelled all over with high schools as Ambassadors of Good Will. Attends Chase Park Church of Christ in Huntsville where I am a coordinator for 1st – 4th grade. Write Sunday school curriculum along with teaching classes from toddler to teen. Have a diploma in interior design from Chicago Institute of Interior Design. My mom, Norma Kinard lives in Huntsville. AL in a Retirement Assisted Living. She is 97 ½ years old. My dad has been dead for 15 years. Have been in Huntsville since 1970. Huntsville is home to NASA (space shuttle and etc) and Redstone Arsenal. Many engineers and computer scientist make their homes here. A wonderful place in the foot of the mountains to call home. Huntsville is in the valley surrounded by mountains and the TN River. According to recent polls one of the best cities in the US (we agree). Hobbies are needlework, quilting, reading, gardening (vegetable & flower), travel, canning/freezing and of course family time.
