March 24, 1941 - March 14, 2014 Edgar Rueben Gage, 72, of El Dorado, AR peacefully passed from this life to next on Friday, March 14, 2014 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX following a brief illness. Born on March 24, 1941 in Orange TX; he was the only beloved child of Rueben H. and Cassie White Gage. Edgar was a pipefitter and retired from Pipefitters Union Local 706. He enjoyed restoring cars and motorcycles and had built a 1923 T Bucket. He was a member of West Side Baptist Church. Edgar was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years Theresa Glenn Gage of El Dorado; daughter Tonyah Calloway of El Dorado; sons Terry Gage (Karen) of Lawson, Rueben 'Toby' Gage (Shelia) of Soddy Daisy, TN., James 'J. C.' Gage (Sandra) of Pearcy, AR.;; six grandchildren Nikki Calloway, Justin Calloway, Aaron Gage (Kristen), Shelby Gage, Trysten Gage, Kalynne Gage; four step-grandchildren Kelsey Dean, Allison Dean, Kanaan Crutchfield, Tracy Cring; one great-great grandson Felyx Calloway. Edgar is also blessed with many faithful and true friends who shared his love for motorcycles, antique cars and life. The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Directors on Monday, March 17, 2014, 6-8p.m. Funeral services will be at 2p.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Young's Chapel with Rev. Gerald Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery near Cairo under the direction Young's Funeral Directors. Memorials may be made to M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, P. O. Biography:
Hello, My name is Edgar Gage and I am 70 years old and live in El Dorado. I have been back since 1980, married with 4 children, one daughter and three sons, 6 grandchildren, four girls and two boys. My hobbies are restoring motorcycles and old cars. I retired at 59, got bored and returned to work at 65. I work four – 10 hr days. I still love to ride motorcycles and always will.
