Biography:
College Southern State in Magnolia, AR. The only one to offer Charles Bowlin and I a scholarship to play football. Lettered 4 yrs playing football (one year All Conference) and 3 yrs on track team. Set the AIC record in the high jump my jr. year which stood until they started jumping backward. (7-8 yrs.) I quit school end of semester my senior year and got married, went to work at a steel mill making 1.50 hour plus 50 cents a ton. Moved on to Firestone where we built fuel cells for the planes used in Vietnam. Got called to service but failed to pass physical (after playing 10 years of organized football.) Moved to El Dorado in 1971 working for Armour Foods, traveled south AR selling for 7 years before moving on to Monsanto Co. in 1977. Took set up to Shift Supervisor in 1980. Worked for them 7 years until EDC bought them out. Worked for EDC 24 years until retirement. Divorced in 1981 and remarried in 1983 to the best friend and fishing partner I could ever find. We deer hunt during the fall and fish for bream and crappie during the spring. Children: A son, Dean (wife Jamie) lives in Parker Chapel, Daughter, Holly lives in New York City and travels the world, and a step daughter Teresa,. Grand kids; (3) two grown and one going on one year in July. The are the light of Aylma's and my life. Very entertaining and we are really spoiling her. I hope everyone has had great time after graduating in 1961. I got to travel to Germany, France and New Delhi and Bombay India in 1994 for EDC. and later in 2004 Aylma and I spend 6 months in Oak Island N.C. living on the beach for EDC preparing to move a Mixed Acid plant to El Dorado.
