Biography:
After working to earn money and while attending college, alternating years between work and college, I met the most wonderful young lady that became my wife on May 27, 1967, the best thing that ever happened to me. I finally graduated from Henderson State College on January 28, 1968 and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant, Signal Corp, United States Army at that time. We had three days to report to Ft. Monmouth NJ for Signal Officer Communication Center training. That was the start of the most exciting and rewarding career that I could imagine. From there it was on to FT. Gordon, GA for more training and then: !968-1969 Wurzburg Germany-3rd Infantry Division, 123 Signal Battalion This is where my first child, Cary, was borne on October 23 1969. I was a dad, Wow!! 1970-1970 Long Binh Viet Nam-1st Signal Brigade 1970-1974 Ft. Gordon GA- U. S. Army Southeastern Signal School. This is where my second child, Jamie was borne on March 15, 1973. 1974-1978 Ft. Hood TX- Headquarters MASTER (Army Test Center) 1978-1980 Adelphi MD- Harry Diamond Laboratories At the end of September 1980, I resigned my commission in the U. S, Army and began my career in civilian business. I have stayed in the Washington DC metropolitan area ever since leaving the military. During that time I have worked with several companies as the Director of Contracts. I am currently working at Deloitte and Touche. Carol has had a long time career working for the U. S. Government at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). And yes, these are the guys that came up with the internet; sorry Al. Cary is married to Eleni, and talk about one Fat Greek Wedding. They have a daughter, Stacie. Cary has his own marketing business in Arlington VA. Jamie is a certified horse trainer and lives in Orange VA and works with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in the preservation of Mustangs among other things. She along with her husband, Craig, have two daughters, Gracie and Katie. We plan to retire in two years and spend part of each year between here and Arden, AR.
