Biography:
After graduation I attended Ouachita Baptist University for a while before joining the Air Force. I married Betty Reynolds in 1962. Our first residence was in Midwest City, OK where I was stationed at Tinker Air Force Base. After four years of service, I decided I wanted to become a draftsman and went to a two year technical school. After that graduation I worked for a company that produced windows and doors and drew the plans for custom structures. During this time we adopted our daughter and son. The building recession put many draftsmen on the streets and we moved from Oklahoma back to Arkansas and I worked for Wheeling Pipe Line Inc. as the dispatcher in Little Rock. After a few years I changed jobs and became a comptroller of a liquor company. About this time in my life we had a surprise baby daughter born into our little family. An opportunity to become the office manager and part owner of a professional office supply company brought an exciting job change. In 1998 due to heart attacks and strokes, I became disabled. It was a difficult time for our family. Life became much more meaningful when I got a computer and eventually began working with David Laney and the high school database. I enjoy reading Westerns and watching Nascar with my grandson, Andrew. I really enjoy keeping up with our classmates, keeping them informed with El Dorado news, and the fun correspondence it brings. Betty and I have four grandchildren and one on the way and are so happy that our daughters’ families live here in Little Rock. Mike wrote 07/09/2008: I have been working on the EHS web site and class database for the past year along with David Laney. It has brought me great joy in reconnecting with everyone. I am looking forward to our BIG 50th class reunion. Hoping and praying that we will have the biggest turn out ever.
