March 26, 1943 - April 2, 2011 Funeral services for Mr. Bill “Billy” H. Barnett, age 68, of Quitman, TX, formerly of Dubach, LA and Burbank, CA, will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Hico Baptist Church in Hico, LA. Rev. Don Cardin will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Barnett was born March 26, 1943 in Ruston, LA to William W. Barnett and Ruby Beckham Barnett. He died April 2, 2011 at East Texas Medical Center, Tyler, TX. Mr. Barnett was CBS Production Lighting Rental Agent by profession. He was also a college professor at Southern Arkansas University and Ole Miss in Oxford, MS. In addition, he was an accomplished artist and had a great love and passion for the theatre in every aspect from building sets to acting. Mr. Barnett is survived by his wife, Micky Masters Barnett; his mother, Ruby Beckham Barnett of Dubach, LA; his children: Jay Young and wife Michelle of Dallas, TX; Mona and husband Michael Volk of McKinney, TX; Chad Young of Sulphur Springs, TX; Madeline Barnett of Shreveport, LA.; William Cooper Barnett and wife Christiane of Burbank, CA; Seth Barnett and wife Jennifer of Burbank, CA and Adam Barnett of Burbank, CA; and his grandchildren: Hadley Million, Satchel Million, Sara Young, Riley Young, DeLaney Young, Kelsey Young, Mikala Young, Ash Barnett, Charley Barnett and Kadance Barnett; his sister: Ricki and husband Robert Casterline of Flower Mound, TX; his nephew, James Landry of Dubach and his niece, Jennifer Petty of Flower Mound. Mr. Barnett was preceded in death by his father and his daughter: Ashley Barnett. Pallbearers will be: Kenny Bettell, John Randall Burnham, Woodrow Cooper, James Landry, Joel Murphy and Micky Murphy.
